visually this is exacly what I expected, however I have slightly larger than average hands and I find the pen section of the quill too small to hold comfortably. I am forced to choke up on the quill and I have damaged the lower part of the feather in doing so. If the pen part of the quill were 2" longer it would accommodate all hand sizes.
