Unfortunately, the feather was somewhat damaged, which is weird as this was the more expensive of the two feathers I bought.

This is my first quill pen and it will take some getting used to but so far I love it. The design itself is amazing though! It feels to be of good quality.

I got this pen set for my sister who loves calligraphy and writing things "old school". It is a very good set to use. It is a beautiful feather and it is set very nicely into the base. The pen is fairly well balanced, the weight does need some getting used to. It does lend itself to writing with ease, though. I love this set as does my sister.
