Skillfully handcrafted in the centuries old tradition of Italian Bookbinders, each piece is made using only the softest Nabuk  Leather that exists in Italy, then hand stitched and filled with hand torn  world renowned Amalfi paper, made in the paper mills of Amalfi, southeast of Naples, Italy.  Each piece has a unique character and originality and is indeed a work of art. Beautiful variations in color enrich each hand finished blank journal. Perfectly suited for writers, poets, artists, travelers, composers & students, these journals have a rich history and are the legendary journals of Van Gogh, Hemingway and Picasso. Ordered it for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it!  The only thing a little confusing was the sizes. Other than that its a beautiful journal and perfect for what she wanted.

After I ordered the Medieval Journal I saw very nice leather journals in a local bookstore for less money and thought I probably had made a mistake ordering online. When the journal arrived and I opened the box it became clear instantly that I made the right choice! The quality of the leather is magnificent as well as the paper. I absolutely adore these journals. I have them all, ordered from Nostalgic Impressions. They are perfect for diaries and for impressive note-taking. The paper is magnificent and the leather is breath-taking. Only one thing can make this journal perfect 5 stars, the ability to hand-sew in a refill. Inside the journal is 8 sections of hand-sewn twine to hold the paper inside. The quantity of the leather is enough to hold more than double the paper, so, Loving these journals as much as I do, I really want to sew in more paper. These journals are absolutely gorgeous !
