What isn't described well is that this is a one-time use item.  But that doesn't make it any less excellent for making an authentic scroll.

The rods look very elegant and gives anything you use it in an old world feel.  I thought they would come with a two or three pack set with the rods but it only had one so I was slightly disappointed but all in all every thing is nice!

I bought this set because my husband and I are having a Vow Renewal and I wanted something neat to type our Vows on....This rod set with the suggested paper is absolutely wonderful, and just snaps together with the paper in between, so it holds very well!!! If they will allow...I will upload a picture!!! Our Vows look amazing!!!

They seem like novelty rods, I was looking for something a bit more classy. We plan to use these to hang our wedding vows. It will work though. The color works for us and the assembly is easy enough.
