How to use:

We highly recommend watching our video on this product page for tips on how to use this wax. There are 3 primary was ways to melt and use this wax:
1.) With usage of a melting Pot and spoon - this is the easiest and best method - see our video and Accessories you can purchase at the bottom of the product page

2.) Breaking up the pieces of the stick and placing them in a melting spoon over a candle - a bit time consuming but it works!

3.) Apply heat with a candle flame or similar directly to the stick to melt the wax and then applying the wax to your project - This is the most difficult method to use as it takes some time to master (and probably a lot of wax).

I restore antique clock and instrument dials that are engraved in brass, and need a wax that can be melted into the engraving to provide contrast with the surface of the metal, which is normally coated with a silvering process.  Black is the color commonly used, but in this case a red was needed for particular accents, and this wax filled the need.  The only caution I would note is that the usual lacquer coating that is used to seal the finished work, can't be used because this wax will immediately dissolve into the lacquer.  Use a matte finish, water soluble polyurethane instead.  There is no ethical reason not to use the more modern coating - it is easily removed if and when needed.
