Modern sealing wax has been created especially to withstand the rigors of the modern postal system. 18 uplifting vibrant satin-finish colors, clear impressions and great price points are the hallmark of this sealing wax. Completely flexible and mailable sealing wax that does not chip or break. 4" Sticks with wick.12-15 impressions per stick (based on 3/4" impression)

Product Details

Wax Composition: Consists Refined Paraffin waxes, Microcrystalline Waxes and color Pigments. These components impart the performance properties of modern sealing waxes when compared to original formulas– the wax is more viscous, denser, tackier, has a higher melting point and is in general more elastic and adhesive . This is why this modern waxes work so much better with stamping, retaining a good impressions and being adhesive during the mailing process.
Modern Sealing Waxes are:
• FDA certified for Direct Food Contact (Glue Gun and Bead Wax only).
• Non Toxic as long as not ingested
• Vegan - the wax is not animal derived and not tested on animals
They are NOT:
• biodegradable or recyclable
• Natural

Hint: Calculate how many sticks you need by dividing the number of desired wax seal impressions by 12 (10 to be on the conservative side or if you want to make larger impressions) and you will get the number of sticks needed to complete your project.

We used these for sealing wedding invitations. Our seal was rather large so it took us 2 sticks for 35 invitations. (We could’ve used more but decided to go lighter just in case!) It melted easily and had a slightly shimmery finish. Very elegant. It won’t want to light at first but give it a couple tries and it will work, PROMISE! We also used a waxy, paper plate to set the wax stick on between seals and we had no issue removing it.

I love this wax! The color is beautiful. Sometimes the ashes from the wick get into the wax; if you want completely "clean" wax seals, then I recommend purchasing the glue gun and wax tubes.
